An long course lasts from 8 to 40 weeks.
A typical stay at a folk high school lasts 4-5 months.

You can choose between almost 80 schools placed all over Denmark. Some schools are located in the cities, some are at the city boundaries and again some are found "at the back of beyond".

All the schools have something different to offer. You find schools for the intellectuals, schools for the sporty ones, for the creative, and schools covering it all.

On all of them you find the chance of trying out something new!

To get the most out of your stay it is important that you have explored the different possibilities and made sure that you will be content with the specific focus of the school and the life there.

Prices and Economy

A long course has a cost of about 1200 DKK per week. Be aware that the prices varies alot from school to school and course to course.

If you apply for a governmental grant through the school, you must do at least a 12 weeks course.

Age

Everybody above the age of 17½ is welcome, but the average age level at the Folk High Schools is between 18 and 24.

At the Youth High Schools the age limits goes from 16 to 19.
