The Danish Music and Theatre folk high school has special emphasis on the teaching of music, electronic music, singing, audio engineering, dance theatre, and theatre. Classes in these subjects are designed for both the student at beginner level as well as the more experienced student.
The professional quality of the teaching is of such a high standard that many of our students continue their studies in music and theatre at institutions of further and higher education.
There are no academic requirements for admittance and there are no exams - However, you will get a diploma as a proof of your attendance.
Personal developement, creativity, social skills, communication is a focal point. Your particiaption is required in the daily life of the school: morning assemblies, your main subject, elective subjects and social gatherings.
Audio engineering, electronic music and music classes are flexible in both English and in Danish.

Apart from tuition in the schools seven main subjects each student has the opportunity to choose between a number of optional subjects.
The school term also includes a large number of
lectures (in Danish) on various topics, live concerts with
professional artists, theatre performances (in Danish), song
evenings and excursions.

The Danish Music and Theatre folk high school is situated in the South of Judland (in a town called Toftlund), Denmark.

The average age is 20-21, however you must be at least 17½ at the beginning at the term.
